About The Event

Ashakti Wellness & Yoga LLC presents SELF-CARE DAY for CLinicians with Co-sponsor Sabrina Mack & Co. LLC.

If you are a Social Worker, Psychotherapist or Counsellor, you’re brilliant at giving out care, attention and time, and putting other people’s needs first – but what about your own needs? Have you been juggling too many balls and ignoring your own self-care? Perhaps a part of you knows you can’t keep going on this way?You need some nourishing, restorative ‘me-time’!

Join me and a small group of other warm-hearted, thoughtful therapists on a rich, peaceful day brimming with exploration and enjoyment. We’re going to purposefully create a space where you can begin to reconnect with your creativity and nourish your sense of self.

This self-care workshop is for you if:

  • You know that recently your self-care hasn’t been optimal, and you want to change that
  • You’d love to learn new ways to promote balance and well being in your life.
  • You want to treat yourself to a refreshing day of connection, reflection and self-discovery

What to expect

This will be a warm, private and quietly welcoming experience.

 We will learn ways to de-stress through mindfullness and relaxation techniques.

 There’ll be a carefully planned activities such as:

  • Yoga
  • Mindufllness
  • Sound Healing
  • Interactive Workshops

Outcomes

You can expect to leave the workshop with:

  • A clearer idea of what you need in terms of self-care, and how to give it to yourself
  • An overall sense of well-being
  • The knowledge that you have given yourself the precious gift of time and attention

LUNCH WILL BE PROVIDED

YOU MUST PROVIDE YOU OWN YOGA MATS/BLANKETS/CUSHION

INSTRUCTORS/FACILITATORS:

Amy Jane Williams, MA,LPC

Amy Jane Williams MA LPC has her own private practice Amy Williams Wellness, as well as a creative brand, Wanda Petunia that shares self-care and self love inspiration, especially for girls and women. Amy has been trained in Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction as well as the Emotional Freedom Technique. Amy loves sharing creativity and fun, practical ways on how to tune into the physical body’s wisdom as a way to support emotional health!

Asha W. Sims, RYT-200, LPCS 

Asha Sims, RYT-200, LPCS is a Holistic Practitioner, Licensed Mental Health Counselor, Reiki Master, Wellness Life Coach, Certified Hypnotherapist and Hatha Yoga Instructor. She has practiced yoga for 5 years and became an Instructor in 2014.  Asha has over 20 years of experience actively working in the mental health community. She specializes in working with the trauma and abuse population. Asha also works with women in embracing their femiine energy and sexual health. Asha believes in a holistic approach to healing using alternative modalities to improve well-being.

Ewanna, Sound Healing Practitiioner

Ewanna is a Multidimensional Soul Healer, using light, sound, and Cosmic Shamanism to facilitate deep healing for the total being. With a background education and practice in medicine, psychology, experiential psychotherapy, Tai Chi and Qigong, she intertwines elements of science with the ancient, shamanic healing techniques, embracing a holistic approach in her work.

Sabrina Mack, MSW

Sabrina ‘Ms. IMPACT’ Mack is a Social Worker by Degree, but a SheEo by trade. She’s the owner of Mental Health Care businesses, and recently launched an online business building and branding boutique. She has turned her passion and lifework into purpose and uses them to entertain, motivate, and teach women, professional audiences and others across the country. Sabrina is the author of 2 upcoming E-books for women. During her 20+ years as an Social Worker, Sabrina was able to find humor and, life lessons leading her to compile a book hilarious and impactful clients comments.” As a speaker, Sabrina addresses business, associations, social groups, women’s groups, churches, and schools. Her philosophy is that regardless of age, gender, or season in life, everybody can live life to make an impact, and learn something in the process—and it’s Sabrina’s job to see that they do!
