Why We Built Ashakti as an Enterprise, Not Just a Practice

A founder's-voice post explaining the throughline connecting therapy, training, publishing, and retreats.

Ashakti started as a single counseling practice, built on a simple frustration: therapy often treats the mind while ignoring the body, the spirit, and the life circumstances shaping both.

As that work grew, it became clear that whole-person wellness couldn't live in one room. Some people needed direct clinical care. Others needed training to bring holistic practice into their own work. Some needed tools they could use on their own, between sessions. And some needed to step away entirely to do the deeper work.

That's how the four Strategic Business Units came to be: Therapy & Wellness, the Training Institute, Publishing & Media, and Retreats & Travels. Four different doors, one philosophy behind all of them — The Ashakti Way™.

Whichever door makes sense for you today, they all lead back to the same place.
