Written with Soaring Wings facilitators, this post speaks directly to flight crew navigating fatigue, irregular schedules, and the pressure to always be "on."
Aviation asks a lot of the people who keep it running. Time zones scramble your sleep. Schedules shift with little notice. And there's an unspoken expectation that you show up composed, no matter what happened on the last flight or the last layover.
"Pushing through" works, for a while. But fatigue and unprocessed stress don't just disappear because you didn't have time to deal with them — they accumulate, and they show up eventually, often at the worst possible moment.
Soaring Wings Peer Support exists because crew members understand this in a way outsiders often can't. It's not therapy — it's a peer-driven space to regulate, reflect, and be understood without having to explain the job first.
If you're active crew and curious, Community Chats are open to flight attendants and pilots, and most workshops welcome the wider aviation community too.
