What Does "Whole-Person Wellness" Actually Mean?

Wellness gets used to sell everything from candles to corporate retreats — so what does it actually mean when we say it?
At Ashakti, whole-person wellness is built around Eight Dimensions: emotional, physical, social, intellectual, spiritual, occupational, environmental, and financial. Each one shapes how you experience the others. Chronic financial stress shows up in the body. Physical exhaustion erodes your social life. Spiritual disconnection can look a lot like burnout at work.
Most approaches to wellness pick one dimension and treat it in isolation — a fitness plan here, a meditation app there. It can help for a while, but it rarely holds, because the other seven dimensions keep pulling at the one you're trying to fix.
The Ashakti Way™ starts from the whole picture instead. That's why nearly everything we offer — therapy, coaching, training, retreats — draws from the same eight-dimension framework, and why the Wellness Pathway™ Assessment looks at all of them together rather than one at a time.
If you're not sure where you're strongest or where you need support, the Assessment is a good place to start.
